Billy

Meet bubbly Billy, our beautiful French bulldog! He’s 4 years old and had quite a difficult year last year. Unfortunately due to a change of circumstances Billy’s owner wasn’t able to look after him properly, and he spent a lot of time alone without enough food or walks.

Despite this Billy has the most lovely personality, he’s truly such a delightful little dog. He loves fusses, and his happiest place is snuggling on the sofa on your knee! Not only does he love attention (which he well knows he deserves!) he is a really active boy. He is a certified teddy fan and finds a game of tug great fun, he also likes to chase balls (but hasn’t quite got his head around bringing them back just yet).

He’s really good in the home, he just likes to be warm and safe and around his people. However, his time without enough food has led him to develop a little bit of a food fixation. He just wants to have enough food, and can try and scavenge human food he finds on the floor to do this. While he’s in foster, we’re just working on building his trust up again so he knows there is always food coming. We’re getting a bit of weight back on him, and are starting a bit of training towards this which we think he will pick up on really well.

His ideal home is with older teens or adults only, as he can find the excitement of children a bit overwhelming. We also think he’d be best as an only dog, he’s super friendly with dogs out and about but again can find it a bit too much having one in his house. He’d be great for someone looking for company, who loves walks and has lots of time for this gorgeous boy!
