Captain

Reserved!!

Meet our handsome lad, Captain! This little man has a big personality & a regal coat so we wanted to give him a name to fit! He has come into us from the dog warden after being found straying. Bearing the scars of a previous life this little man needs care and understanding to help him adjust.

Because of this we do not have any history on him and as he’s currently in kennels we do not yet know what he’s like in a home environment. We also don’t have an exact age for him but from his teeth and vet assessment we thinks he’s around 2-3 years old.

As a working breed of terrier Cap has a strong prey drive, because of this we are not looking for homes with cats or young children. Sensible children of high school age may be suitable.

Cap is friendly with people and so far has been friendly with the dogs he’s met so may be suitable for a home with another dog. He’s a high energy breed (though for a patterdale he is remarkably calm!) so would fit perfectly into an active home, and would benefit from an experienced owner with lots of time to give him the training he needs.

Because he’s a stray and currently in kennels we do not know what he’ll be like in the home to begin with and he may take a little time to adjust, but he’s adjusted quickly to being with us and is quite happy doing his own thing so we’re sure he’ll do well! As you can tell from his photos he’s very treat orientated (and sometimes forgets to put his tongue back in!) which means he’s very trainable.

He’d make such a great addition to the right family, if you think it could be you please fill in an application form.
