Cracker

Meet Cracker, one of our very own Christmas miracles. Cracker was abandoned by his owners, left with his sister locked inside their house when they left. No one was told, and we can’t even begin to comprehend what these two went through in the days before they were found. They were just skin and bones, they were terrified.

He’s been with us for a couple of months now, and the difference in them is incredible. Not only has he put on weight but he’s started to show his personality. Cracker is just the most lovely little lad, he’s full of smiles (& beans!). It’s taken taken him lots of time and TLC to get here, and he is still shy of new people, but when he gets to know you he’s like a puppy! He loves sniffy walks, and is starting to get his heads around toys (he’s definitely worked out treats though!).

Cracker still has a little way to go in learning how to trust people again, and we don’t blame him he’s had an incredibly difficult start to life. He’s still needing a little more work than his sister but is making massive progress with our kennel team. We know that he’d go so far in the right home but he just needs someone to give him a chance (either via adoption or fostering) so that he can learn to settle within the home as well as outdoors.

His ideal house would be quiet, without kids or other pets, so that he has the best possible chance to adjust (it can be an awful lot of new things at once afterall!).
