George

Meet George (previously Shearer) our absolutely stunning 6 year old saluki x greyhound x lurcher! George is being rehomed due to a change of circumstances & absolutely no fault of his own. He’s currently enjoying lots of fuss in foster.

Poor Georgie was underweight when he came into us and hasn’t lived in a house before, and has never been loved like the amazing family pet he deserves to be. He found the move to foster really difficult, there were just so many new things all at the same time. He’s now finding his feet (and a spot on the sofa!) and is just the gentlest boy. He really doesn’t have a bad bone in him.

He is such a lovely boy! He loves to go on long walks & play off leads, he could go for runs with you for miles (classic lurcher!). He’s a very well behaved boy, he walks well on lead & has good recall. He’s just a calm boy with loads of love to give looking for a family to teach him how to trust again. He needs a calm family with lots of time and understanding for him as he learns how to be an indoor dog.

He believe he’s lived around a child before & was behaved around her. He’s just a gentle soul so we think he would be able to be rehomed with children assuming they get on when they meet, ideally we are looking for slightly older children (as he is a fair sized boy!). He is very good around other dogs, though more often ignores them than wants to play, so would also be rehomable with another dog as long as they get on.

We aren’t looking for a home with cats, as he has a prey drive.
