Meadow (previously mistletoe!)

Re-introducing Meadow (AKA Mistletoe one of our very own Christmas miracles). She was abandoned by her owners, left with her brother locked inside their house when they left. No one was told, and we can’t even begin to comprehend what these two went through in the days before they were found. They were just skin and bones. They were both completely terrified, they’d never been outside before and moving into rescue was a tonne of new things all at once.

Meadow has now been with us for a couple of months and is a completely different girl than the emaciated pup who first came to us- and thanks to her amazing foster family she has a beautiful new name to match! Not only has she put on weight but she has started to learn how to be a normal dog again. It hasn’t been an easy process, to begin with she was so scared she melted to the floor whenever someone came near her. She has finally started to trust people again and has discovered the joys of the outdoors (and her teddies!).

After a couple of months TLC with our kennel team she has moved into foster and is coming on leaps and bounds - she loves a snuggle and to be involved in everything they are doing! She still has a long way to go before she reaches her final form of bouncy puppy but we are starting to see what she’ll be like. She makes new progress every single day and we know in the right home she would be the most incredible companion. Meadow needs a quiet home with lots of time to help her settle in. She’d be best without children as they can be a bit too excitable for her, but she may be suitable with cats (she’s desperate to make friends with her foster families kitties!). She might make a really great friend for the right dog, but would need a calm and confident buddy rather than a very high energy pup.
