Meet the mischievous Milo! This little lad has come into us because his family were unable to meet his needs and he’s looking for someone with an understanding of working dog pups.

Milo originally came from a farm (and he wasn’t the best bred boy in the world bless him!) from a working line of cocker spaniels meaning he has a very high prey drive (so no cats!) & scent drive, he’s very clever and very energetic and needs to be able to express his breed specific behaviours. Because he’s so driven he picks up on training well but he’s coming into adolescence and needs someone experienced and patient to help him grow in confidence. He was removed from his mum & siblings a bit too young and as such can be a little unsure of new things but he’s growing with confidence every day!

Milo is your classic high energy pup - he loves to play with his toys (whether it be fetch or tug he’d love to play in the garden with you for hours!) and go out and about on sniffy walks. He likes meeting other dogs out and about but can be a little bit shy about going on walks with new people, he just needs time to get used to everything.

Milo adores meeting new people, he has so much love to give! He is a big fan of cuddles and kisses (and on occasion gets a little bit too excited and has an accident, but who can blame him when he’s this cute!). He’s really good in the car & out and about on walks.

Milo is looking for a working breed experienced household who understand the training and work that goes into these dogs, he’d love to do something like scent training that lets him display his breed behaviours. He would make a great addition to a household with other cocker spaniels, and would really benefit from gaining confidence from older dogs.

Milo is looking for an adult only household where he can be given the structure and time he needs.

Milo does have slightly abnormal gait due to his breeding, currently this isn’t causing him any issues at all but it could potentially put him at slightly higher risk of joint issues when he’s older.
