Shea
Meet Shea, the cuddly cocker spaniel. Shea is approximately 8-10 years old but has years of love left to give! She has the most beautiful warm eyes and knows how to use them!
She was brought to us by Leeds dog warden, after having been abandoned by a family of Travellers. This poor girl was left wandering the streets in the cold, all alone, waiting for her family to come back to her. By the time she was found she was freezing, covered in dirt with her ears matted (as you can see in the photo above from her first day in the pound!). But this resilient little lady wasn’t even one bit scared! She instantly befriended all of the staff at the pound, showing what a lovely dog she really is.
While we don’t know what Shea is like with children she just seems to love everybody so far, she’s a calm queen. She hasn’t been fussed at all by any of the other dogs in kennels & seemed dog friendly in her assessments. We think it’s likely she has lived with lots of different dogs before and would be suitable to live with dogs again (provided she gets along with them when they meet!).
Shea hasn’t been cat assessed but so far hasn’t shown any signs of a prey drive.
