Shea *RESERVED*
Meet Shea, the cuddly cocker spaniel. Shea is approximately 8 years old but you wouldn’t know it by looking at her! She has the most beautiful warm puppy-dog eyes and knows how to use them!
She was brought to us by Leeds dog warden, after having been abandoned by a family of Travellers. This poor girl was left wandering the streets in the cold, all alone, waiting for her family to come back to her. By the time she was found she was freezing, covered in dirt with her ears matted. But this resilient little lady wasn’t even one bit scared! She instantly befriended all of the staff at the pound & at our rescue, showing what a lovely dog she really is.
While we don’t know what Shea is like with children she just seems to love everybody so far, she’s a calm queen. She hasn’t been fussed at all by any of the other dogs in kennels & seemed dog friendly in her assessments. We think it’s likely she has lived with lots of different dogs before and would be suitable to live with dogs again (provided she gets along with them when they meet!). Shea walks really nicely on lead, but doesn’t know many commands past that. We’re hoping to get her into foster soon so we can see what she what she’s like in the house, we’re not sure the poor girl has ever gotten to live inside before but we think she’ll adjust quickly! She’s just the loveliest little girl, she loved riding in the car but she loved sitting on my knee for snuggles even more!
Shea hasn’t been cat assessed but so far hasn’t shown any signs of a prey drive.
