Tess’s Pups!
All reserved except 1 girl!
Re-introducing Tess’s gorgeous pups! These lovely little puppies have been with us for two months now, after we were contacted by social services about the situation they and their mum were living in, and they are finally ready to start the adoption process! While one lovely pup is being adopted by her fosterers (who fell in love with her the second they laid eyes on her- and lets face it who could blame them when they’re this cute!) these 8 are ready to find their forever families. There are 4 girls (top row of photos) and 4 boys (bottom row of photos) and they are all just bundles of joy!
They are bull-lurcher x cocker spaniel puppies, meaning we aren’t 100% what they’ll look like when they’re bigger! Their mum Tess is around 25kg but we are expecting them to be more in the 15-20kg range (as advised by the vets) as their dad was a bit smaller. We think they might look sort of like ‘lanky-spaniels’ but we know they’ll be wonderful however they end up looking. Their mum is a very high energy girl, she’s got lots of excitement for everything in life. She loves walks and any kind of game, due to the lurcher in her she also has a prey drive. We have a bit less history on their dad as he is in another rescue, but he was a lovely friendly ‘classic’ spaniel. As they have a mix of three high-drive breeds these pups will have plenty of energy and drive in them when they get older. This means they need experienced homes who are prepared for the training and energy requirements - it also means they’d be great a some additional training like agility which can be a really great way to bond with them too! We would expect when they’re fully grown they’d need a couple of walks a day (we’d suggest an hour of higher energy walk e.g. a run or game of fetch, and then a slightly shorter sniffy walk later on so that they get mental & physical stimulation).
They were born on 2/11/25 and have had their first vaccines & microchips at 8 weeks and a vet check at this point and have all been given a clean bill of health. They will be going in for their second vaccines while with us so that they can start to go outside & begin socialisation. As the pups cannot be neutered until their bones are fully matured (when they stop growing) this is something we will discuss with adopters - as they will need to be neutered.
We are looking for very experienced homes who have an active lifestyle and an understanding of the training that they will need (as they will need fully trained in their new homes including toilet training - so lots of late nights to begin with!). We will be recommending all adopters go to socialisation groups and puppy training classes as well as doing research on training to ensure they get all the support they require. We will of course also be here to offer support!
If you think you might be the right fit for ones of these lovely little ones please full in a dog adoption application and put as much information as you can on why you think this is the right time for you to get a puppy & why one of these pups would be a good fit for you! Please be aware that we may receive a high number of applications and as such the response from our team may be slightly delayed.
