Whiskey is a striking 4-year-old German Wirehaired Pointer with a heart full of potential and a deep need for connection. Sadly, he’s found himself in rescue after the loss of his beloved owner, and now he’s looking for a fresh start with someone who can give him the love and structure he deserves.
Whiskey is an affectionate, intelligent dog who’s happiest when he has a job to do or a long walk to enjoy. He would thrive with an active owner who’s committed to keeping him both mentally and physically stimulated, and who’s up for continuing his training and building a bond based on trust.
He can be a little wary of strangers at first, and may show some reactivity towards other dogs when out and about. However, he has previously lived peacefully with two other dogs, so with careful introductions, he may be able to live with the right canine companion. Whiskey isn't used to young children, so we're looking for a home with older teenagers only, and no cats, please.
Whiskey is a loyal, energetic dog who just needs the right match to help him feel safe, secure, and loved again.
